This table umbrella really, really wants to play baseball for the White Sox

Games have been stopped for an occasional fan running on the field or even a wayward animal or two. But in Tuesday's Cactus League game between the Rangers and White Sox in Surprise, the game was slowed down by a flying picnic table umbrella.

As Chris Sale got ready to face Craig Gentry in the third inning, the umbrella landed in short right field. After settling for a moment, it started blowing away toward the infield before Minor League outfielder Brandon Short came up with the grab. Short also hit a three-run homer in the victory.

"I don't think we are going to see that in Chicago in April," said Sale with a laugh.
