Tigers fan snags screaming liner right out of the air

If you're gonna bring your glove to the ballpark, you'd better not leave it beneath your seat when that rare liner comes screaming toward your spot in the stands. One Tigers fan knew enough to take advantage of his moment in the spotlight when he flashed some serious leather during Thursday's matinee with the Yankees.

The Yanks and Tigers were still scoreless in the second when Nick Castellanos sent a line drive toward the barrier down the right-field line. As Zelous Wheeler ranged over to try to reach the spot, it didn't look like he was going to get there until … blam .. a black leather glove attached the wrist of that Tigers fan snagged the ball straight out of the air:
