Tigers throw the ball off Lorenzo Cain's back and get him with a rare 1-3-6-1-4 putout
You know that classic And1 Mixtape move where the guy inbounding the ball bounces it off the back of the defender who's facing the court?
Well, the Tigers basically pulled that move to catch Lorenzo Cain on the basepaths on Sunday. Cain was extending his lead from first base when Tigers pitcher Alfredo Simon threw over and caught him off guard. The ensuing rundown ended when Simon got the ball again and inadvertently tossed it off of Cain's back, only to have his second baseman Andrew Romine barehand the ball on the ricochet and tag Cain out to complete the 1-3-6-1-4 putout.
These poor scorekeepers couldn't even get out of the top of the first without having their books all scribbled up.
