The Tigers know that Brad Ausmus is dreamy and now they've got shirts to prove it

Sexy and they know it: Tigers rock Ausmus T-shirts

Who'd have thought that the son of a European history professor would grow up to be known for his chiseled jawline and chiseled-er abs? Tigers manager Brad Ausmus enjoyed an 18-year career as an MLB player, but these days his players are referencing his glory days more for his looks than his range factor.

Ausmus -- who once graced the cover of Health magazine (along with those abs and his surfboard) -- recently walked into the Tigers' clubhouse to discover that his players were paying tribute to their skipper's good looks with matching T-Shirts:

"I think it was Alex [Avila]," Ausmus said. "That's my guess. He boldly walked into the room the other day, wearing it in front of me. I assume that was his way of bragging."

And though the word is getting out, Ausmus doesn't think he'll be seeing the shirts at home anytime soon.

"Somebody must've tweeted it, because [my wife] said 'Who bought the T-shirts?' She asked me last night," Ausmus said. "But no, she doesn't want one. Hers would say 'Nightmare.'"

Nobody is willing to snitch out the clubhouse Santa who delivered the goodies, but Joba Chamberlain confessed that it wasn't him.

"I walked in and it was sitting in my locker," he said. He also buys into the theory that the shirts are Avila's doing. "He's got time on his hands," Chamberlain said, referencing Avila's stint on the DL rehabbing his left knee.

We're firm believers that it matters not who's genius brought the swag into the clubhouse, so long as everyone in the clubhouse is able to recognize that genius and share it with the world.
