Tony Sanchez's first career hit gets surprisingly cozy with scoreboard
Tony Sanchez made his Major League debut for the Pirates on Sunday, chalking up his first career hit against the Angels. The ball flew directly towards the out-of-town scoreboard -- and got stuck between the screen and the outfield wall. Really, really stuck.

But Sanchez's double wasn't fated to become a permanent decoration at the Big A. Sunday's game also marked the first MLB appearance of ... whoever that grounds crew guy in charge of the ladder is.

He may not appear in the official Angels roster, but he did manage to retrieve a ball that no other outfielder could get their hands on. Three cheers for Ladder Guy.
