Tyler Flowers ground ball hits first-base bag, turns into double to right field

Tyler Flowers ground ball hits first-base bag, turns into double to right field

Doubles come in all shapes and sizes. There are tailing balls into the corner and line drives to the gap and off-the-wall-ers and ground rule one-hoppers. There are also artfully placed ground balls that careen off the first-base bag and into right field, like Tyler Flowers' opportune hit on Sunday.

Flowers earned himself a two-out double in the top of the fourth with the White Sox trailing the Indians by a single run by grounding a ball off of the first-base bag, popping it into the air and just out of the reach of first baseman Carlos Santana.

It may not look as pretty, but the box score isn't going to reflect how lucky Flowers got on this one.
