Unfortunately for this reporter, showering her with Gatorade is a new Nats tradition

On her first day on the job Thursday, MASN reporter Julie Alexandria received the brunt of a Gatorade dousing that was meant for Gio Gonzalez. After pitching a one-hitter in the Nationals' 1-0 win over the Reds on Friday, Jordan Zimmermann's performance may have also been shower-worthy -- but the picture above leaves little doubt about whom this one was mostly meant for.

So: drenching Julie Alexandria post-game appears to be Washington's new good-luck charm. Will this continue for as long as they keep winning? I have to imagine this is more than Alexandria bargained for when she accepted this assignment.

As you can see in the video of the incident, to her credit, she resumed the interview unflappably following the shower:
