Update: Battle of the undefeateds: Chicago Blackhawks vs. Kansas City Royals
The Blackhawks are making history with a 19-0-3 start to the NHL season, tying the second-longest consecutive points streak in league history at 28 games (dating back to March 25, 2012) with a win over the Red Wings on Sunday.
But, hey, how about those Royals ... right?
The KC kids are 9-0-1 in Cactus League play, baseball's lone undefeated club and a half-game ahead of the 9-1 Mariners in the Arizona standings. Kansas City next takes the field Tuesday afternoon against the A's, a few hours before the Blackhawks drop the puck against the Wild in Chicago.
Can Eric Hosmer and friends outlast Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane? We want to know who you think will remain lossless longest?
Update 3/5: The Royals beat the A's and the Blackhawks bested the Minnesota Wild. KC is now 10-0-1 while Chicago improves to 20-0-3.
Update 3/6: Both teams won their respective games on Wednesday. The Royals are 11-0-1 and the Blackhawks move to 21-0-3.
Update 3/7: Well, the Royals finally lost to the Mariners on Thursday 12-2 -- ending their win streak at 11. The Blackhawks will visit the Avalanche on Friday night.
