U.S. quad rugby team visits Chase Field

Even though the Olympics have ended, the competition in London is far from over. The Paralympic Games begin next week, and three members of the U.S. quad rugby team were honored at Wednesday's D-backs-Marlins game.

Nick Springer, Scott Hogsett and Joe Delagrave are Valley residents, who train at the Virginia G. Piper Sports and Fitness Center for People with Disabilities in downtown Phoenix.

Known as “Murderball,” quad rugby is an action-packed, fast-paced sport for people with disabilities. The U.S squad is a perennial power and is the top-ranked team going into the Paralympics.
