USWNT sets attendance record at Busch Stadium
With the women's World Cup starting this summer, the No. 2-ranked U.S. Women's National Team squared off against the No. 17 New Zealand team at Busch Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Following Adam Wainwright's patriotic lead from last summer, the St. Louis fans turned out in full force and helped set an attendance record for a friendly on U.S. soil:
With 35,817 in attendance for today's match, this is: The all-time largest crowd for a stand-alone #USWNT friendly match at home.

Keeping the field warm until the Cardinals' home opener against the Brewers on April 13, the U.S. women dominated in a 4-0 victory. That included back-to-back-to-back jacks, err, goals in a five-minute window to put the game away:
Three goals in five minutes in the second half! Blink and you'll miss 'em! https://t.co/T8wJ6fgqA0
