In 2011, Anthony Bourdain visited Havana, foresaw success of Cuban ballplayers

Years before this week's historic thaw in diplomatic relations, Anthony Bourdain filmed an episode of his show "No Reservations" in Cuba, spending some time on Havana's "esquina caliente." If your high school Spanish is relatively intact, you know that translates to "hot corner." No, he wasn't moonlighting as a third baseman -- Havana has a literal street corner where fans of the game gather to discuss the latest news. Think of it this way: it's like living in the comments section of your favorite baseball website (which we know, of course, is this one.)  

Bourdain's guide dove into the conversation and made some predictions about Cuban baseball players that could succeed in the United States. You might recognize a few of the names. One is the two-time Home Run Derby defending champion and the other was the 2014 AL Rookie of the Year:
