American hero Carli Lloyd threw out a first pitch for the Mariners

US Women's National Team midfielder and person whose face should be on all of our money Carli Lloyd was at Safeco Field on Tuesday to throw out the first pitch for the Mariners.

We were kind of hoping she'd throw three different first pitches to celebrate her hat trick in the World Cup Final, or at least kick the ball in from the outfield. However, we understand that the sheer awesomeness of either of those options would have simply overwhelmed everyone present and turned them into something like this:

Instead, Lloyd gently tossed a pitch to Felix Hernandez:

We were going to make a King Felix/Queen Carli joke, but then we remembered that THIS IS AMERICA and we have no more kings, so we'll just go with President Carli. No pressure, we're just saying, maybe put an exploratory committee together?
