Cute4: This young Orioles fan got the first commemorative Hall of Fame coin
Remember those crazy curved baseball coins the U.S. Mint announced back in December? Well, now they're here -- and a 12-year-old Orioles fan named Cole got the very first one during Thursday's Whitman Coin Expo in Baltimore:

The coins, commemorating the National Baseball Hall of Fame, are shaped like a baseball on one side and have an image of a mitt on the other side. They also happen to be the first curved coins ever pressed by the U.S. Mint.

It wasn't just baseball fans and coin collectors who were on hand for the launch -- MLB greats such as Brooks Robinson and Joe Morgan took part in the ceremonies as well:

The coins will remain on sale until December 31 or until supplies run out. Cole managed to take home one of each, and Baltimore's Fox 45 got him to share his excitement.
