Derek Lowe claims the Yankees stole his cleats before Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS

You know the story of the 2004 ALCS: The Red Sox were down 3-0 to the Yankees before winning four straight to advance to the World Series.

What you may not know is that Derek Lowe started Game 7 in $20 cleats bought from a sporting goods store only moments before the game.

It seems that Lowe's spikes mysteriously disappeared overnight between Game 6 and Game 7.

"They stole my shoes," Lowe said. "There was always a history, they always kind of do that stuff with Boston."

Check the video above for Lowe's full testimony. His off-the-rack Reeboks ultimately worked to the tune of six innings, one hit and one earned run. The rest, of course, is history.
