The future is now: A robot threw out the first pitch at a D-backs game
The ceremonial first pitch before Wednesday's Nationals-Diamondbacks game was notable for two reasons.
The first, is that it was thrown by a robot:
The second, is that said robot managed to throw a more accurate first pitch than Hall of Fame hurler Nolan Ryan:
We've looked at baseball playing robots before, but never have we seen one so clearly outperform one of the legends of the game. Sure, the robot basically threw an eephus pitch, but at least it managed to get it over the plate.
We are living in the future.
