D-backs rookie Jake Lamb gets lost on ride home from Chase Field, ignores his mom's phone calls

D-Backs rookie Lamb gets lost, ignores his Mom's call

D-backs prospect Jake Lamb hit his first Major League home run on Saturday, only to find himself ignored by his teammates.

Ignored

While on his way home, Lamb, in turn, ignored his mother. Said the third baseman:

"I actually got lost on the way home and my Mom called me and I declined it right away. She got mad and asked if I was 'Big Leaguing' her. I was like, 'No, I'm not. I'm lost.'"

As far as Major Leaguers go, Lamb's example is pretty innocuous. It's also much easier to explain than Pascual Perez famously missing a start with the Braves after missing his exit three times on August 19, 1982. There was even a poster commemorating the event which you can view here
