Fernando Rodney wore the wrong Mariners jersey on Tuesday night
Fernando Rodney caught wearing the wrong jersey
Fernando Rodney is already known for his signature jauntily-angled cap. On Tuesday night, Rodney wanted to stand out a little bit more, wearing the Mariners' batting practice jersey instead of the alternate navy tops the rest of the team was wearing.
While this is obviously a simple mistake, it's fortunate that the Mariners caught this before they sent Rodney to the mound. After all, according to rule 1.11, if a player's uniform "does not conform to that of his teammates" he will not be permitted to enter the game. Even if Junior Lake did get away with it for a few innings in early April.
But if Rodney really does want to do something unique, may I suggest digging up one of these?
