Darth Vader throws out terrible first pitch, visits with Jonathan 'Luc' Lucroy
Darth Vader throws out terrible first pitch at CIN
If you're anything like us, you've probably wondered how the characters of Star Wars might do if they formed some sort of company softball team. Does Luke Skywalker's name make him a preternaturally gifted baserunner? Would Han Solo's "never tell me the odds" mentality cause him to bunt bizarrely often?
While we don't have the answers to any of those questions, we do know this: former pod racer Darth Vader should not, under any circumstances, be chosen to pitch.
Here's the Sith Lord tossing out the first pitch before Friday's Brewers-Reds game:
"Oh, he just messed up one time! That doesn't mean he's terrible!"
Yeesh, cool your jets Obi-Wan. This is not, in fact, a one-time occurrence. Here he is throwing another first pitch back in 2012:
We managed to get a quote from Mr. Vader after Friday's lackluster offering, and needless to say, he wasn't happy with his performance:
At least he got to spend some quality time with his son -- sort of:
