Did we witness the birth of a super villain after this young fan missed a home run catch?

Young fan may turn evil after missing HR ball

When the Astros took on the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon, we assumed it was an ordinary summer day, just like any other. Little did we suspect that an agent of chaos would be birthed.

After Dexter Fowler hit a home run over the bullpen, a young fan reached his glove up thinking he would be headed home with his very own home run ball. But in a scene that's all too familiar to my own baseball experiences, he misjudged the trajectory ever so slightly, the ball clanking off his arm. Before the youngster could collect the ball, another father grabbed it and handed it to his own son.

Kid home run

While I'm not saying that it's 100% guaranteed that this child will grow up to be a megalomaniac who lives in a volcano base building frightening anti-home run devices, I am saying that all the pieces are there. Let's just hope that he can fight back the darkness gnawing at his soul.
