5 things we learned from Jerry Seinfeld's Mets play-by-play takeover

Comedian and cultural icon Jerry Seinfeld took over the Mets broadcast booth on Tuesday night, and helped Gary Cohen, Ron Darling and old pal Keith Hernandez call four innings of baseball.

Here are five things we learned over the course of the evening:

5. Jerry thinks Tim Lincecum is a cool guy.

With Matt Harvey possibly missing part of the 2014 season, Seinfeld thinks Lincecum could help fill the "cool guy" gap. He probably could.

4. Seinfeld is a fan of Josh Satin('s eyebrows)

But really, who isn't a fan?

3. In Seinfeld's world, all foul-line catches would be made with a slide.

All catches, really, should be made with a slide. He's right about that.

2. Seinfeld would make a terrible third base coach

In the bottom of the fifth inning, with Satin on first and the score tied at 4-4, Daniel Murphy hit a double to right field. Seinfeld was disappointed to see Satin hold up at third base, but a quick check of the replay showed staying at third was the right call.

1. They needed eight takes to shoot the famous make-out scene with Julia Louis-Dreyfus

But you're Keith Hernandez!
