Here's a glimpse of Masahiro Tanaka's dominant stuff (and his goofy dance moves) [Update: He's a Yankee!]

UPDATE - On Wednesday, sources confirmed that Masahiro Tanaka has made his decision -- he'll join the New York Yankees. Here's a preview of what he'll bring to the Bronx:

12/17 - MLB and the NPB agreed on a new posting system Monday, meaning Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka is likely on his way to the US.

It's too early to predict which team Tanaka will ultimately join, but we do have some evidence of the 25-year-old's repertoire on the mound -- specifically from his two-inning, six-strikeout relief appearance in the 2013 World Baseball Classic matchup between Japan and Cuba.

Tanaka had a rough start to his outing, allowing a single and a double to the first two batters faced. He settled in, however, and the third man up wasn't as fortunate.

That hitter, fellow blockbuster international Jose Dariel Abreu, quickly found himself in a 1-2 count. The fourth pitch of the at-bat -- a 94 MPH fastball -- left Abreu totally frozen:

Tanaka followed the strikeout of Abreu by allowing another single, but that would be the last batter to put a ball in play against the right-hander.

Right fielder Yasmany Tomas was the next strikeout victim:

Of course, baseball is about far more than just balls and strikes, BABIP and ERA. But the scouts all agree -- Tanaka's synchronized line-dancing moves are also MLB-ready:
