Salvador Perez was in a minor car accident on Sunday, but still hit a home run in ALDS Game 4

Perez OK after car accident, hits ALDS Game 4 homer

After losing to the Astros, 4-2, in Game 3 of the ALDS, Salvador Perez was taking a car service to a local Venezuelan food truck. But his driver went straight out of a left-turn lane, leading to a slight collision with another vehicle. Luckily, no one was hurt. Perez's agent, Rafa Nieves, told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez that the other car was full of baseball fans:

"They were barking at our driver and then Salvy gets out of the car. They are shocked and like, 'Oh my God, it's Salvador Perez!' They asked for pictures and didn't care about the car anymore. We are just happy everybody is OK."

Perez looked pretty OK to us, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the second inning of the Astros-Royals ALDS Game 4:

You know what? So did the rest of the Royals. Though they were down 6-2 in the seventh inning, a 5-run eighth and a 2-run shot from Eric Hosmer in the ninth helped them tie up the series with a 9-6 win.

Watch Game 5 on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
