Watch Ron Washington learn Texas wouldn't be gaining ground in the Wild Card race

Things looked dire for the Indians on Tuesday after closer Chris Perez allowed two homers to the White Sox in the top of the ninth inning -- Cleveland was down one run in the heat of a tight AL Wild Card race with the Rangers and Rays.

But then, pinch-hitter Jason Giambi snatched up some lumber and did this:

Meanwhile, in Texas, Rangers manager Ron Washington watched the Indians game on the stadium scoreboard as his team took on the Astros. He wasn't particularly enthused about Giambi's heroics:
