Sprinkler goes wild, soaking the bullpen and delaying a Minor League game

In the top of the fifth inning of Wednesday's Fort Wayne TinCaps-Great Lakes Loons game, first baseman Fernando Perez went racing back to catch a foul pop up. Perez's foot caught a sprinkler along the way, unleashing a torrent of cold water and spraying the fans lined up along the bullpen.

The incident lead to an 18-minute delay (sadly, listed only as a "delay" in the box score and not "bizarre water systems run amok") before Perez hitting a home run in his next at-bat.

Isn't that always the case -- the guy who starts a water geyser hits a home run in his next at-bat? What a coincidence.
