Watch the Jonathan Schoop glove flip that extinguished an early Tigers scoring chance
Watch an early Tigers scoring chance get Schoop-ed
The Tigers had a man on third base with two outs in the bottom of the second in Sunday's Game 3, threatening to score in a win-or-go-home game.
And then they got Schoop-ed.
Andrew Romine laid down a bunt with two outs and Alex Avila, who doubled earlier in the inning, on third. But Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop was right there with a dagger of a glove flip to first baseman Steve Pearce.
The out-at-first call was close -- it was reviewed -- but ultimately went to the O's. You can just feel Romine's anguish at being called out.
The Tigers wouldn't score until the bottom of the ninth, and came up a run short of keeping their season alive, falling 2-1 to the O's.
Schoop shaka laka. Schoop shaka laka.
