Vin Scully talks Brooklyn, Fernandomania, Twitter, is an unending fount of wisdom and awesomeness

Vin Scully, who began his career broadcasting Dodgers games when there were 16 MLB teams, Honus Wagner and Shoeless Joe Jackson were alive and Connie Mack was still managing, stopped by the Hot Clicks podcast on Wednesday.

Host Jimmy Traina and Scully discussed a varied assortment of topics past and present. From how Scully felt first stepping into the Brooklyn Dodgers broadcast booth as a recent college graduate in 1950 ("somewhat scared to death"), to his reaction upon seeing how successful he was in encouraging fans to make A.J. Ellis a trending topic on Twitter in 2012 ("holy mackerel!").

The Hall of Famer also talked about the excitement Fernando Valenzuela brought to L.A. in the '80s, why he likes calling games without a partner and how he's announced literally dozens of no-hitters.

The man is a living legend, and the Dodgers are lucky to have him.
