30 years ago, Warren Cromartie embarked on his Japanese baseball/wrestling career

On December 28, 1983, Expos outfielder-turned-first-baseman Warren Cromartie signed a three-year deal with the Yomiuri Giants. The MLB vet was a huge hit during his years in Japan, winning a championship and ingratiating himself dearly with the home fanbase:

But Cromartie's greatest moment across the Pacific may have come post-baseball in 2007 -- the year he took down legendary Indian wrestler Tiger Jeet Singh with a home-run chop and celebratory "Bonzai!" cheer.
