Hero's welcome: Chase Headley delivers walk-off hit in Yankees debut
On Tuesday afternoon, the Yankees acquired Chase Headley from the Padres for Yangervis Solarte and another prospect. The third baseman wasn't able to get to the Bronx for the start of his new team's game against the Rangers, but he did get there later in the contest -- subbing in for Zealous Wheeler in the eighth.
Headley would actually get four at-bats, as the score remained tied until the 14th inning. But then, in that 14th inning, the newcomer decided it was time to go home:
