Mo'ne Davis schools Kevin Hart at Celeb All-Star Game
Mo'ne Davis can do it all. The 13-year-old star who pitched not one, but two shutouts at this summer's Little League World Series not only dominates on the mound, but she's proven she can do it on the court, too.
Davis, an eighth-grader who already plays for her high school's varsity team, suited up for the West in Friday's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Playing point guard, Davis was matched up against three-time All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart. Going up against a man with that kind of silverware didn't intimidate her much.
Midway through the first quarter, Davis blew past Hart with a crossover dribble and killer spin move before kissing the ball high off the glass.
Later in the game, cameras caught Hart admitting, "No excuses, it was a good move." And at halftime, Mo'ne Davis had a message for the diminuitive comedian:
While Davis and the West defeated Hart and the East 59-51, Hart still collected his fourth MVP award. That's OK -- it just gives Davis something to win next year.
