Watch this guy in a squirrel costume toast the competition in Padres outfield race

The Padres scored 16 runs during their three-game sweep of the Giants this past weekend. How'd they pull that off? In addition to Chase Headley's power and Chris Denorfia's defense, manager Bud Black pointed to another reason for the victories: the blinding speed of Ace - Petco Park's Rally Squirrel.

"You know that Rally Squirrel got us going," Black said. "We put up a 6-spot right after the squirrel."

So, who is this 6-foot-tall rodent?

The mystery mammal is Eric Theiss, an account executive for the Lake Elsinore Storm -- San Diego's Class A affiliate. Theiss, an All-American sprinter while at SUNY Oneonta. previously ran at Storm games and seems to have finally gotten got called up to the Majors this season.
