We celebrate 25th anniversary of Keith Hernandez's magic loogie

June 14, 1987. That's the day Kramer and Newman were changed in a very deep and profound way.

As the legend goes, the postman with the beady little eyes taunted Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez after his error led to a loss to the Phillies.

Hernandez allegedly responded by spitting on the duo.

Unfortunately, the immutable laws of history contradict the whole premise of the account.

You see, the Mets actually played the Pirates that day in Pittsburgh. Hernandez homered and doubled in a 7-3 victory.

But we like the Seinfeld story better.
