Welcome to Counting is Hard, featuring Cody Ross and Jorge De La Rosa
First, we have D-backs outfielder Cody Ross. After he draws a walk off Mike Dunn in Monday's eighth inning, Ross scuffs some dirt around, keeps his arms loose and seems to completely forget that he should be on his way to first base. What a pessimist.
Secondly, let's take a look at Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa.
De La Rosa gets J.P. Arencibia to ground out to short for the second out of the inning, but he prematurely marches off the field in celebration of a job well done -- forgetting he still has one more out to rack up. Eventually, he did get that third out, but only after a wee bit of gentle lampooning from the broadcast crew.
