Welcome to The Show, kid: Here's what 100 mph looks like

That's the task that awaits Rays right-hander Chris Archer, who's scheduled to make his Major League debut Wednesday opposite none other than Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg.

The 23-year-old Archer carries a 4.81 ERA in 14 starts with Triple-A Durham, but the Rays aren't too worried about how one of their top prospects will handle the moment on the hill.

But in the batter's box? That's another story. Archer says he hasn't had an at-bat since 2010, meaning condolences were in order for the poor timing:
