'Winning Ugly:' The 30-year reunion

It's been 30 years since the White Sox made a surprising run to become AL West champions. With scrappy play, they somehow found a way to win. Eventually, it was coined "Winning Ugly."

On Saturday, 1983 American League Manager of the Year Tony La Russa, AL Cy Young Award winner LaMarr Hoyt, AL Rookie of the Year Ron Kittle, fan favorite Mike Squires and power hitter Greg Luzinski were reunited during a private reception at U.S. Cellular Field to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the memorable squad.

The group reminisced about the unforgettable season, took photos and signed autographs for attendees during the Athletics-White Sox matchup.

The White Sox will continue to honor the 1983 team throughout the season with throwback jerseys, retro races and special appearances.
