Yadier Molina and his son drop the first puck of St. Louis Blues season

The postseason is just getting started in St. Louis and hockey's already poking its nose into the picture. With the Cardinals set to host the Cubs for Game 1 of the NLDS on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET on TBS, the NHL's St. Louis Blues opened up their regular season on Thursday night.

And what better way to get people excited about hockey than to get your city's All-Star catcher to bring a little postseason fever out to the arena and let his son drop the first puck:

This wasn't the first time the Blues and Cards worked together to help pump St. Louis fans up. Back in April, the Blues helped to celebrate the Cardinals' Opening Day game by rocking some sick warmup jerseys against the Minnesota Wild. 

We like to imagine that Nelly, Jon Hamm and Randy Orton serve as a Holy Triumvirate of St. Lunatics who have an on-going text message thread coordinating these supportive efforts.
