Yankees fan finds Red Sox World Series ring ... and gives it back

So, you're a full-blown Yankees fan living in New York City. You go to games, watch the team on TV and own a restaurant just a 15-minute drive from the stadium. One day, in that restaurant, you find a 2013 Red Sox World Series Championship ring. What do you do?

If you're Luigi Militello, you (GASP!) give it back. The Manhattan restaurateur found a ring belonging to Lowell Spinners owner Drew Weber -- who frequents the area on business. The Spinners are Boston's Class A affiliate and Weber was given the jewelry after last season's victory.

"I went looking around my apartment and started having palpitations. Sweat was pouring off my forehead," Weber told the AP. "I'm looking at my finger and it's not there."

Don't worry, Red Sox fans. Before giving it back, Militello made his allegiances known.

"But this being Yankees-Red Sox, I started razzing him. I told him he wasn't getting it so easily. I was playing with him, a lot," Militello said.

Eventually, the two met up, talked baseball and Militello was given tickets to Derek Jeter's last Fenway Park game in exchange for the ring.
