Starting Nine: Puig's first walk-off homer

1. The Reds-Dodgers game was scoreless for 10 and 2/3 innings on Sunday. L.A. had managed just four hits and struck out a club-record 20 times. And then Yasiel Puig stepped up to the dish to deliver his first walk-off home run -- complete with a bat flip and slide into home plate. Take it away, Vin.

2. Derek Jeter homered in his return from the DL and Alfonso Soriano delivered a game-winning hit in the Yankees' 6-5 win over the Rays yesterday. Hideki Matsui was also signed to a one-day contract prior to the game. No, this is not 2003.

3. Jose Fernandez struck out 13 Pirates batters over eight innings on Sunday, setting a Marlins rookie record. Check them all out below.

4. If you've been sleeping all weekend, you missed David Ortiz going absolutely bonkers on a dugout phone in Baltimore on Saturday.

The Rays, who next host the Red Sox in September, figured it might be a good idea to prepare for Papi sooner rather than later.

5. Could this be the most powerful group of Koreans ever assembled for one photo?

David Lynch, Barry Zito, Russell Brand

6. So, it was raining money at Safeco Field on Sunday afternoon. Seriously, dollar, dollar bills, y'all.

7. The D-backs hosted a Luchador mask giveaway night on Saturday, and things got weird.

8. Jessie Pinkman, sorry, Aaron Paul is a really good guy.

9. Scientists are embarking on a month-long journey to tag 20 great white sharks in order to track their movement and mating habits. No sharknados are in the immediate forecast, but things look like they could get pretty intense.
