Day after getting hit, Alonso protects himself

During Saturday's Rockies-Padres game, Justin Upton accidentally hit teammate Yonder Alonso with his helmet after tossing it in frustration. Although visibly upset at the time, Alonso and Upton reconciled and San Diego's first baseman was deemed fit to play on Sunday. But just in case something were to happen again, Alonso prepared himself accordingly:

MLB.com's Corey Brock asked him about the getup after the game:

"It was to relax everybody. It was an event that happened yesterday and I'm trying to make the best out it. Just try to have fun with it. Luckily, no one got hurt."

Safe, yet stylish. Good thinking, Yonder.
