Your Cut4 Reds postseason preview

The Reds have had a successful 2012 season, capped off with an NL Central title. The engineer of it all was GM Walt Jocketty, who toasted the team in the clubhouse with some nice champagne.

And while Jocketty assembled an incredibly talented team, a little superstition never hurts to help your team either. This Reds fan is convinced that his miniature Reds cap and handlebar mustache help contribute to his team's good fortunes. True or not, his silly look is keeping people in the stands laughing.

Speaking of fans, no group is more loyal to the Reds than the Power Stack Pack. Led by Chuck D, these fans are the loudest people in the Great American Ball Park night in, night out.

The highlight of the Reds season actually came in the last few days, when Homer Bailey threw a no-hitter against the Pirates. Pretty impressive, especially considering that he started the game without a catcher.

It was also a special season for Reds of old as Barry Larkin, the greatest Red of the last quarter century, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Of course, the Reds are led by manager Dusty Baker. He is not your conventional manager either. I mean, who goes out of their way to buy special toothpicks?

The Reds were on fire back in July, at one point winning 10 games in a row. To honor the streak, Reds fans raised over $50,000 for the Reds Community Fund and broadcaster Marty Brennaman shaved his head completely bald.

Hey, while bald might not look good on Brennaman, it's definitely better than the Reds players' Elvis looksReds players' Elvis looks.

- The Reds will not be giving out free bats to their fans mid-game.

- The groundscrew will continue to get down.

- Aroldis Chapman will do his fair share of post-game celebrations.
