Yu Darvish has a right arm injury, so he's just taking infield as a lefty like it's no big deal

Yu Darvish takes infield practice ... as a lefty

Yu Darvish is incredible. Not just because he's struck out 680 batters over 545 2/3 innings and maintained a 7.2 H9 figure while making the All-Star Game in all three of his MLB seasons. But because he's apparently sort of ambidextrous.

The Rangers' ace was shut down a bit early last season and was all set to make a triumphant return in 2015 when he was forced to leave his first Spring Training start due to triceps soreness that turned out to be a UCL sprain and might need surgery.

He and the Rangers are seeking a second opinion on the matter to see if he could go the Masahiro Tanaka route and avoid surgery, but that's not stopping Darvish from putting in the time. He was in uniform at Rangers camp on Sunday morning, taking infield practice with the rest of the pitchers ... as a lefty.

Yeah. That's happening. We hope Darvish's dominant arm turns out to be A-OK for the upcoming season, but we're open to watching him strike people out with his left hand, too, if that works better for him.
