(Fla.)…batted .478 (43-for-90) with 34 runs, 14 doubles, one triple, six HR and 22 RBI in 29 games as a senior in 2023…was named by the Miami Herald as one of the 2023 Miami-Dade County Athletes of the Year…entering the 2023 draft, was ranked as the No. 31 overall prospect by both Baseball America and MLB Pipeline…was committed to Vanderbilt University…is the son of current Detroit Tigers’ Bench Coach George Lombard Sr., who played six Major League seasons with Atlanta (1998-2000), Detroit (2002), Tampa Bay (2003) and Washington (2006).

Batted .235/.367/.381 (111-for-473) with 90 runs, 32 doubles, five triples, nine HR, 49 RBI, 87 BB and 35 SB in 132 combined games with High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset…ranked among Yankees farmhands in walks (first), runs scored (second), doubles (tied for second), triples (tied for fourth), stolen bases (fifth), extra-base hits (46, sixth) and total bases (180, eighth)…began the season with High-A Hudson Valley, batting .329/.495/.488 (27-for-82) with 22 runs, eight doubles, one triple, one HR, 13 RBI, 23 BB and 11 SB in 24 games…was promoted to Double-A Somerset on 5/6 and hit .215/.337/.358 (84-for-391) with 68 runs, 24 doubles, four triples, eight HR, 36 RBI, 64 BB and 24 SB in 108 games…was named to the American League roster for the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game in Atlanta on 7/12, starting the game at 2B (1-for-2, one run, one double, one BB, one SB)…following the season, was tabbed as the No. 1 prospect in the Yankees organization by Baseball America and the No. 46 overall prospect…was also rated by the publication as the “Best Defensive Infielder” and having the “Best Strike-Zone Discipline” in the Yankees organization…was also ranked by MLB Pipeline as the No. 32 overall prospect in baseball…was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training, batting .231 (6-for-26) with four runs, two HR, four RBI, one BB and one SB in 14 games.

Split the season between Single-A Tampa and High-A Hudson Valley, batting .231/.338/.334 (98-for-425) with 56 R, 25 doubles, two triples, five HR, 45 RBI, 61 BB, and 39 SB in 110 combined games… led Yankees farmhands in stolen bases and ranked ninth in hits and walks… following the season, was tabbed as the No. 2 prospect in the Yankees organization and the No. 88 prospect overall according to Baseball America… was also tabbed by the publication as the “Best Defensive Infielder” among Yankees farmhands.
