July 7th, 2017

Here's a look at top prospects to watch in today's Minor League action:
Pitcher to watch: (Indians' No. 15), Columbus vs. Norfolk (7:15 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Morimando was named to MLBPipeline.com's most recent Prospect Team of the Week after he fired back-to-back nine-inning shutouts for Triple-A Columbus. He also threw a shutout on June 15, giving the 24-year-old left-hander three shutouts in his last four turns. He's also won five straight starts, during which he's lowered his season ERA from 4.81 to 3.40.

Duel of the day: (White Sox No. 6) vs. Tyler Mahle (Reds' No. 7), Charlotte at Louisville (7:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Fulmer, No. 59 on the Top 100, has struggled to pitch deep into starts lately, working no more than 4 1/3 innings in four straight starts for Triple-A Charlotte. The 23-year-old righty hasn't pitched into the sixth inning since May 23, a period spanning seven starts during which he's posted a 7.36 ERA with a 23-to-20 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a .901 opponents' OPS.

Mahle is 0-2 in two starts for Louisville, but the 22-year-old has been sharp in both outings, registering a 2.08 ERA with 15 strikeouts and two walks in 13 innings. Mahle was promoted to the Minors' highest level from Double-A Pensacola, where he posted a 1.59 ERA with a Southern League-best 0.87 WHIP and 87 strikeouts in 85 innings (14 starts).
