SEATTLE -- Mariners right-hander Taijuan Walker underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove a bone fragment in his right ankle on Monday, but he is expected to be ready for full activity at the start of Spring Training in February, according to general manager Jerry Dipoto.
Two other Mariners pitchers -- relievers Steve Cishek and Tony Zych -- are also recovering from surgeries performed last week. Cishek's procedure could delay his start next spring.
Cishek had a torn labrum in his left hip repaired on Wednesday by Dr. Thomas Bird in Nashville, Tenn., and is expected to need 4-6 months of rehab before resuming full baseball activities. That means his status could be up in the air when camp opens in four months.
Zych had a right shoulder biceps tendon transfer last Tuesday, performed by Dr. Stephen O'Brien in New York. But the surgery did not involve the rotator cuff or capsule in the shoulder, and Zych is expected to be ready for full activity at the start of Spring Training.
The Mariners don't have any other players scheduled for surgeries this offseason.
All three pitchers dealt with injuries during the 2016 season, though Walker and Cishek finished the year on the active roster. Walker, 24, went 8-11 with a 4.22 ERA in 25 starts, but he was bothered for several months by tendinitis in his right arch that hampered his push off the mound.
"I don't want to have the same issue next year," Walker said at the end of the season. "It really affected me a lot, so I'd rather get it taken care of."
His procedure was performed by Dr. Nicholas Siebert in Seattle, and Walker plans to stay in Seattle to rehab and work out over the offseason.

Cishek, 30, spent time on the disabled list in August after tests showed a slight tear in the hip labrum. But though he lost his closer's role to rookie Edwin Díaz at that time, Cishek returned to post a 1.10 ERA in 16 1/3 innings over 18 outings in the final six weeks of the season.
Cishek had a 2.81 ERA and 25 saves in 62 appearances on the year. He's under contract for one more season at $6 million.

Zych closed out the season on the disabled list after attempting a comeback in August following a three-month layoff. The 26-year-old rookie opened the season with Seattle and pitched in 10 games before going on the DL on May 1 with a sore shoulder.
He returned in August and pitched in two games against the Yankees before being sent back to Triple-A Tacoma and then shut down completely following one more outing. Zych was 1-0 with a 3.29 ERA in 12 appearances on the season.
