Play Ball Weekend
Friday, June 5
We will be hosting a Future Padres Little League team for batting practice, during which the players will receive brand-new Franklin City Connect batting gloves gifted by one of our Padres players.
Saturday, June 6
PBATS Clinic
We will be hosting 100 children from our Padres Rookie League for a PBATS (Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society) clinic held in the outfield at Petco Park. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in baseball and wellness-focused activities led by our Padres athletic trainers.

Hawaii Youth Baseball Clinic
We will be hosting our inaugural youth baseball clinic in Hawaii for 100 children at Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Oahu.
Overview
The PLAY BALL initiative is baseball’s collective effort to encourage young people and communities to engage in baseball or softball related activities, including formal leagues, special events and casual forms of play.
PLAY BALL events have become MLB’s signature youth engagement activity during the professional and amateur baseball and softball calendar, especially on key dates throughout MLB’s Championship Season and through the Postseason & World Series. PLAY BALL events demonstrate the positive way the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels.
