Summer Camps

2022 Twins Camps Outlook

Nearly all camps in 2021 sold out and we are extremely excited about the 2022 camp season. The price has not increased, and we will not add to capacity. We recognize that there may still be health concerns, therefore we will continue to follow public health guidelines and those of our host sites. If those guidelines demand that alterations be made for the purpose of protecting your kids and our staff, that is what we will do.

Hey Tim and Tyler. I gotta tell you what a terrific time Joshua had at camp. He’s usually a late sleeper once school is out but that sure wasn’t the case during Twins Camp week. He actually slept in his new Twins uniform one night, LOL. My only regret is that we should have signed our guy up a couple years earlier. Keep up the good work and see you next summer.

- Bill and Sandy G. (Apple Valley)

Camp Philosophy

Camp Culture

Some kids will come to camp having never played ball before, and some will come with dreams of someday playing at Target Field. Regardless of experience and skill level, each player will have the camp experience of a lifetime. We won't settle for anything less.

A great baseball camp contains a recipe of fun, competition, camaraderie, and excellent instruction. On Monday when you meet the camp staff, you will find them full of baseball and softball knowledge and unbridled passion to share with your kids. While being such knowledgeable coaches, our staff really knows how to create a fun and inviting atmosphere. And, of course, kids love friendly competition. That's why, every day, we include fun competitions and award special Twins memorabilia.

It’s true that we welcome players of every skill and experience level. It’s also true that we put a high premium on having fun. However, this is an honest-to-goodness baseball/softball camp and not a daycare service.

It doesn't matter if your athlete is six and picking up a bat for the first time or 14 and is a top-level player, this camp will profoundly improve each player's skills and ability.

At each Twins Camp session we use a progressive system of hitting, throwing and fielding. The curriculum is advanced to match the progress of the campers. Your athlete may not know it at the time, but he/she will learn movement patterns that we use at the very highest level and based upon the latest baseball science.

Drills are tailored to the experience level of the various age groups to create the best learning environment for everyone.

Safety, Safety, Safety

How can we have a camp with six-year-olds and 14 year-olds? Look at it this way. A K-8 school does not have second graders and eighth graders in P.E. or math class together. They may pass in the hallways, take the same bus, and be in the same yearbook but they are not in class together. Just like school, at camp, they will be in the same place, but not in "class" together either.

We also recognize that not all players of the same age have equal ability. For safety reasons, and because it facilitates the best learning environment, players will be grouped by age and ability. These teams will then stay together throughout the week with the same coach. There will be cross-pollination of instructors but we have found that the bonds created between teammates and their primary coach is one of the truly special dynamics at camp.

And yes, at our instructors' discretion, tennis balls, whiffle balls and safety balls will be used liberally at camp. Of course, we will use regulation baseballs and softballs but fear-free confidence is a critical foundation for fun and learning success.

Travel or Select Team Player? We're Ready for You, Too

There isn't much the Minnesota Twins can't teach you about baseball or softball. The bottom line is that no matter how good you are or how good you want to be, we have a curriculum and instructors who will get you ready for that night's game or next weekend's big tourney.

We understand that travel ballplayers' schedules can be hectic in the summer. We will protect your arm if you are scheduled to pitch and you can take it easy if you've got a game that night. Give us a week and you will improve, no matter your current level of play.

Camp Details

The camp fee will remain at $399 for 2022. We understand that $399 is a significant investment, but it is actually a very fair price for all that your athlete receives.

Maybe this will help. Consider 30 hours of terrific instruction, four complimentary Twins game tickets, a V.I.P. day at the ballpark which includes meeting a player, a full Twins uniform, and unforgettable friendships and memories - all for about what some of us pay a babysitter on an hourly basis ($13.30). And this is NOT a babysitting experience! Location of game tickets to be determined, subject to availability. ADA accessible game tickets available upon request.

The registration fee will remain at $399. You may pay the full fee on-line or, if you register before May 1, 2022, you can reserve your spot with a $175 deposit. The balance will be due on May 1. If registering after May 1, the entire amount will be due at the time of registration.

Many parents use their employer's FSA benefit to save even more. Check with your employer to see if the camp fee qualifies as Dependent Care. For FSA reimbursement purposes, the camp's FEIN is 45-0643499.

Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Camps are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14.

If two or more children sign up together, each will receive a $20 discount. In order to receive this Family/Friends Discount, the registrations must be submitted together. Use code MULT20 on both registrations to receive this discount. This discount is valid only when registering 2 or more campers at the same time. This discount cannot be combined with any other discount.

You may cancel your registration up to 30 days prior to the first day of camp and receive a full refund. You must notify us via email.

Camps begin at 9am and conclude at 3pm. However, to accommodate parents’ schedules you may drop your son/daughter off as early as 8am and/or pick him/her up as late as 5pm. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Morning Extra Innings (starting at 8am) cost is $10/day. No fee on Monday.
  • Afternoon Extra Innings (pickup no later than 5pm) cost is $10/day. No Extra Innings on Friday.
  • Reserve and pay for Extra Innings on-line anytime up to the Sunday before camp starts
  • Extra Innings fees must be paid on-line and are NOT refundable. Please plan carefully.

Remember, if you want to do Extra Innings, you do NOT have to sign up at this time.

Campers should bring their own lunch and drinks. Please make sure to affix your player's name to these items. And PLEASE send your ballplayer with plenty of sunscreen!

In the event of inclement weather, outdoor camp activities will be moved indoors. Our curriculum has provisions for excellent indoor activities and instruction. We reserve the right to cancel camp days for weather-related reasons and no refunds will be given. Every effort will be made to complete instruction. In our first five seasons, we have not canceled a single camp day.

Once you have registered, we will communicate additional important camp information via e-mail. Please enter your e-mail address accurately on the registration form. Also, be sure you are entering the parent or guardian e-mail address, NOT the camper's.

Amazing Twins Experience

V.I.P Day Trip to Target Field for a behind-the-scenes experience

On one of the five camp days campers will be bussed to Target Field for a day we are sure they will never forget. Imagine playing on the same field as your favorite Twins players. Wow! Buses will depart Target Field at approximately 2 P.M. to return campers to their camp location. The Twins reserve the right to change or discontinue the trip to Target Field due to guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health or Major League Baseball regarding COVID safety.

Every camper will be given a full, MLB quality Twins uniform (jersey, pants, hat and belt)

If you are going to train like a major leaguer, might as well dress like one.

Meet a Current Twins Player!!

During the V.I.P. trip to Target Field, campers will have a “meet and greet” with a current Twins player. Talk about a spectacular finish to an already terrific day! The Twins reserve the right to change or eliminate the player appearance due to player availability and/or guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health or Major League Baseball regarding COVID safety.

Four Twins tickets to one of several Twins Camps Reunion games

As part of your registration, you will receive four tickets to one 2022 Twins home game. You will be able to select a date from a list of approved dates. Location of game tickets to be determined, subject to availability. ADA accessible game tickets available upon request. If conditions do not allow for tickets in the 2022 season, tickets will be distributed for the 2023 season. The ticket program is subject to change based on COVID protocols, seating availability, or any guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health, Major League Baseball, or the Minnesota Twins.

Every camper receives a keepsake graduation certificate and camp veterans will receive a special edition iron-on patch celebrating their return to Twins Camp.
