A lone Orioles fan visits King Felix's Court

A lone Orioles fan visits King Felix's Court

Felix Hernandez was slated to start Friday's game against the Orioles at Seattle's Safeco Field, which meant that the King's Court was out in full force. If you were previously unaware, a section of Safeco is filled with fans who hold up gold "K" cards for each of King Felix's strikeouts (he threw 10 on Friday while lowering his ERA to 1.99).

At Friday's game, in the middle of all those gold "K" cards, sat one lone Orioles fan holding out hope that his birds would find a way to crack King Felix's game.

King's Court

He must have brought some good luck with him because that's exactly what they did. Hernandez surrendered just five hits over seven innings, but one was a Nelson Cruz home run in the second that proved enough to send the game into extras, where Chris Davis homered off a Mariners pitcher not named King Felix (it was Charlie Furbush). The O's won 2-1.
