An A's prospect married a SportsCenter anchor with help from David Price

Sara Walsh is an ESPN anchor. Matt Buschmann is a starter in the Athletics organization. They're now a happily married couple -- and it never would have happened without the help of David "Cupid" Price.

At one time, all three were in Nashville -- Price and Buschmann as teammates at Vanderbilt, and Walsh as a sportscaster at Nashville's WKRN. Walsh interviewed Buschmann a few times and clearly made an impression, but the righty "was nervous the whole time and probably giddy."

Fast-forward a few years, to 2012. Now Walsh is anchoring SportsCenter, Price is in the midst of a Cy Young season with the Rays, and Buschmann is working his way up the Rays' Minor League system. Walsh interviews Price. Buschmann asks Price to say hi for him, and Price does, while adding the not-so-small detail that "Matt Buschmann loves you." Price goes on to convince Walsh and Buschmann to follow each other on Twitter ... which led to a fateful DM that would begin their epic love story.

The rest is history: They were married in January in Sarasota, Fla. (Walsh is originally from the Tampa Bay area). And when it came time for Buschmann to choose his groomsmen, it should come as no surprise that Price was among them.
