Adam Wainwright makes first rehab appearance ... as a relief pitcher for his daughter's softball team
Wainwright pitches in daughter's softball game
Adam Wainwright was off to a heckuva start to the 2015 season -- he was 2-1 with a 1.44 ERA through his first four starts before going down with a torn left Achilles tendon.
Though it was initially thought that Wainwright would miss the remainder of the 2015 season, the Cardinals ace voiced his intention to make it back to the club in time to pitch in October.
Well, just three months after suffering the injury, Wainwright made his first rehab appearance when the pitching machine malfunctioned at his daughter's softball game.

Who knows, maybe he's just working on an epic new eephus pitch he's hoping to bust out when the postseason rolls around.
