If we've learned anything from the 2015 season, it's that dark forces clearly lurk near the foul lines, willing baseballs to just never ... quite ... roll ... foul. Black magic was afoot again during Saturday's Rangers-Tigers game, as Jose Iglesias dribbled one just inside the third-base line that seemed destined to stay fair. In the face of this unseen menace, Adrian Beltre reacted as anyone would -- like a toddler surreptitiously tossing his peas on the floor so their mom thinks they ate them:
Ah, the "if I don't move, they can't see me" defense. Smooth, Adrian. And hey, he would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling umpires.
