Bryce Harper hit three home runs today, and two of them were upper-deck moonshots
Bryce Harper hit 3 HRs today (2 to the upper deck)
The only things better than Bryce Harper's hair are his patience and his power. Heading into Wednesday's matinee with the Marlins, Harper led MLB in walks with 26. Harper also had five home runs to his name.
Now he has eight.
Nationals manager Matt Williams had Harper batting cleanup. After the Nats went down 1-2-3 in the first, Harper, led off the top of the second inning with an opposite-field blast that couldn't seem to stop carrying.
In his next at-bat, Harper came up with two runners on and was looking for something middle-in after going oppo in that second inning. He found what he was looking for and launched it into the upper deck at Nationals Park.
Bryce Harper, who still hasn't faced a pitcher younger than him, currently on pace for 39 HR + 145 BB. Nobody under 25 has ever done that.

But Harper wasn't done. For his next trick, he turned on a slider that hung up just a bit too much in the zone, putting it out into the right-field upper deck.
That last dinger makes Harper the youngest player to hit three in a game since 1969 (Joe Lahoud).
What a show by Bryce Harper, still only 22. 3rd youngest NL player ever with a 3 HR game. The 2 younger: Eddie Mathews (20) & Mel Ott (21)

In case you missed any of that (or in case you want to relive the glory), here they are again.
